In the guess of cable fire-proof coating, the technical path of taking part in aluminium hydroxide flame retardant is selected, so that when the developed cable fire-proof coating is obtained, the coating expands and foams well and densely, forming a fine and uniform fire-proof insulation layer, which can provide useful fire-proof maintenance for the cable. But when the content of aluminium hydroxide flame retardant is 7%, the cable fire retardant coating not only has good fire protection function, but also has outstanding physical and chemical function and clothing resistance function.
Aluminum hydroxide has high chemical stability at room temperature. After heating up to 200 degrees, it begins to endothermic decomposition and releases three crystalline water. The endothermic capacity of aluminium hydroxide is 878J per gram. When the temperature is 300 degrees, two crystalline water is lost and converted into pyroxene. The process of endothermic dehydration delays the burning of polymers. Aluminum hydroxide is equivalent to a radiator, which slows down the burning speed. At the same time, the water vapor emitted not only dilutes the burning gas, but also participates in the reaction of condensate phase. The endothermic decomposition is based on the endothermic decomposition of aluminium hydroxide, and only releases steam when heated. It does not produce toxic, flammable or corrosive gases, so aluminium hydroxide is used as flame retardant filler.
As a special coating, cable fire retardant coating is composed of base material and flame retardant additive (aluminium hydroxide flame retardant). In addition to decoration function of general coating and physical maintenance of cable base material, it also needs special function of flame retardant and fire retardant.
The following conclusions can be drawn from the experiments of aluminium hydroxide flame retardant data on fire retardant function, smoke production and anti-corrosion of fire retardant coatings.
1. Aluminum hydroxide not only has an outstanding flame retardant effect with less dosage, but also greatly improves the fire retardant function and physical and chemical function of cable fire retardant coatings, and reduces the cost together.
2. Aluminum hydroxide flame retardant has a significant smoke suppression effect on cable fire retardant coatings. It can make fire retardant coatings not only avoid smoke and toxic gases during incineration, but also have an outstanding flame retardant and heat insulation effect.
