The adsorption amount of surfactant on the solution surface increases with the increase of solution concentration

The synthesis methods of alkyl glycosides mainly include trans glycoside method, direct glycoside method, Koenigs Knorr reaction method, enzyme catalysis method and so on.

Alkyl glycoside

Glucose and aliphatic alcohols are directly dehydrated under acid catalysis to produce alkyl glycosides.

After acetylation of glucose, glycosidic bromide is generated in the presence of HBr HAC, and then reacts with fatty alcohol with Ag2O catalyst to generate alkyl glycosides.

Is the enzymatic method selective? High purity? It has the advantages of high yield, but it is still difficult to realize industrial production at present.

The dilute solution of surfactant obeys the law followed by the ideal solution. The adsorption capacity of surfactant on the solution surface increases with the increase of solution concentration. When the concentration reaches or exceeds a certain value, the adsorption capacity will not increase. These excessive surfactant molecules are disordered in the solution, or exist in a regular way. Both practice and theory show that they form connective bodies in solution, which are called micelles.

At present, there are few kinds of high-grade fatliquoring agents. Although there are fatliquoring agents with waterproof, anti-static, antifouling and soft and plump feel, there is a lack of good mercerizing fatliquoring agents. It is urgent to develop various fatliquoring agents with special properties. A key development direction in the future is synthetic fatliquoring agents, sulfonated oils, sulfonated fatty alcohols, synthetic lipids and products with special properties such as water resistance, light resistance, electrolyte resistance and washing resistance based on petrochemical products. The combined fatliquoring agent contains carboxyl group, which can better combine with the tanned object, and can overcome the disadvantage that the oil migrates to the surface after other fatliquoring agents are placed for a long time, resulting in the hardening of the leather body. In particular, alkyl alcohol amide combined fatliquoring agents are paid attention to.
