Alkyl polyglucosides (APG) is a complex mixture of alkyl monoglycosides, diglucosides, triglucosides and oligoglycosides, which is generally called alkyl polyglucosides (APG). It is a product obtained by the loss of a molecule of water under the catalysis of strong acid from the hemiacetal hydroxyl and fatty alcohol hydroxyl of glucose.

In China, the research on alkyl polyglycosides began in the late 1980s. Academician Yang jinzong took the lead in the research of two-step production of alkyl polyglycosides in China. In 1992, he passed the small-scale test technology identification, and built 1000 tons / year and 500 tons / year production units respectively. This achievement won the second prize of science and technology progress of the Ministry of chemical industry in 2000. Up to now, most domestic APG production still adopts two-step method. The two-step process has the disadvantages of low product quality, long process flow and high energy consumption. Our research group has completed the laboratory research work of one-step synthesis of c8-c14-apg, and is willing to realize the one-step industrial production of APG together with people of insight in China.

In recent years, people have been devoting themselves to the research of "two in one" type meal washing agent, one direct method is to add disinfectant, oxychloride bactericide, iodine, cationic surfactant, etc. into the anionic meal washing agent. Oxychloride products are not stable and easy to be stored for a long time, while adding cationic surfactant has become a simple and direct method. However, due to its ability to separate from the anion at present There are very few cationic surfactants compounded with sub surfactants, so people use coating technology to make cationic surfactants into microcapsules and add them to food washing agent first, and break the microcapsules when they are used to realize the combination of washing and elimination. However, the process is complex, the cost is high, and the effect is not very ideal, so people directly add them to anionic food washing agent Oxidated amine surfactants improve many properties, but the bactericidal effect is not ideal.

The cationic alkyl glucoside quaternary ammonium salt is not only low toxic, but also has excellent germicidal efficacy, and can be completely miscible without precipitating with the anionic surfactants. The mixed system has obvious improvement in detergency and foam properties, and the process is simple, and has achieved unexpected results.
